The church year begins with Advent and ends on the Reign of Christ Sunday.  (Orange = white)

 

Advent is the season we prepare for the celebration of the birth of Christ (Christmas).  The color for this period is

Purple or dark blue.  It is a time when we consider the coming of Christ.

 

Christmas  and Christmas Season is the time the church is invited to reflect on the Incarnation of God as a human being.

The Christmas Season includes  the twelve days following Christmas.
